Earn your B.S. in electrical engineering in two and a half years through the College of Engineering at CSULB in partnership with CPIE. The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering - Antelope Valley program is designed for students who are interested in completing their B.S. degree in electrical engineering. Classes are held at the Lancaster University Center in the Antelope Valley area, providing unprecedented access to the aerospace industry, including internships with local companies and organizations. Participants must have completed their first two years of coursework at a community college or another university.

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering - Antelope Valley program is offered as an undergraduate extension program in the College of Engineering. This program is a shared commitment between CSULB, industry and government partners, and community colleges in the greater Antelope Valley to ensure that this region has access to high-quality, affordable engineering education.

Students are admitted and matriculated through CSULB. The program is cohort-based, allowing students to proceed as a group through the program in a prescribed lock-step sequence. The cohort model emphasizes teamwork and collaboration among students and offers a strong support system as you progress through the program. Students complete 68 units of junior and senior level engineering, capstone general education, and math coursework. The program takes approximately two and a half years to complete, including a Summer term.

Admissions are porcessed on a rolling basis, beginning shortly after the priority transcript deadline. We strongly encourage you to submit your transcripts to the Office of Enrollment Services at CSULB immediately upon submission of your application, in order to expedite your admission decision.

This degree program is designed to prepare graduates for high-level engineering positions in design, development, research, applications, and operation in the fields of communications, control systems, digital signal processing systems, electromagnetics, digital and analog electronic circuits, physical electronics, and power systems. The curriculum is built around a strong basic core of mathematics, physics, and engineering science. A senior design seminar ending with a capstone design course rounds out the program. State-of-the-art facilities are available to provide laboratory-based instruction in key topic areas.

Students who are admitted into CSULB and are full-time students participating in this program are qualified to apply for financial aid through main campus.

CPIE undergraduate programs are eligible for:

  1. Pell Grant
  2. Cal Grant A or B
  3. Direct Subsidized Loan
  4. Direct Unsubsidized Loan

Note: Students are NOT eligible for the State University Grant, but ARE eligible for the Cal Grant A or B.

Veterans may also receive their GI Bill benefits.
