Winter Session enrollment is open to all CSULB students, prospective students, students from other colleges and universities, and interested individuals from the community. No application or admission process is required.
A matriculated student is one that is admitted to the University. If you are not sure whether or not you are admitted, please check with the College of Continuing and Professional Education Registration Office (562) 985-5561. If you are not admitted (non-matriculated) then you can enroll as a non-matriculated student.
Yes. High school students are welcome to attend Winter Session as long as an official Letter of Recommendation from the high school principal or counselor is attached to the registration request form specifying if the credits earned are for college credits or high school credits. High school students will register as non-matriculated students, and will provide a Letter of Recommendation at the time of registration.
We've made some changes to enhance your winter experience at CSULB. Eligible matriculated CSULB students can register via the web by navigating to MyCSULB or by phone via Interactive Voice Response (IVR). Non-matriculated students can register by mail-in registration or in person. The registration form can be downloaded, printed and mailed in, and must be post marked by Friday, November 20, 2009. The drop box will not be available during regular business hours. It will be available from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00a.m. The drop box will no longer be available to accept registration forms starting on Friday, November 20, 2009. Once the Winter Session begins, all transactions must be handled in person.
Our regular business hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
If you register by MyCSULB or by IVR, you can check your enrollments via MyCSULB. If you register by mail or drop-box, a confirmation will be mailed to the address provided on the registration form within 5 to 7 business days.
CCPE accepts Visa, MasterCard, and check/ money order if enrolling by mail or drop box. If enrolling in-person, Visa, MasterCard or check. Cash is no longer accepted.

To activate your MyCSULB account for the first time, your six digit birth date will serve as the default password. The Beach Board Help Desk is available for assistance in using the MyCSULB web site; they can be reached at (562) 985-4959.
Yes. A campus I.D. number is issued by the university and is used in place of your Social Security number. A campus I.D. number is issued to all new students by the university for registration and identification purposes. If you are a current Open University student, you will continue to use the existing I.D. number that was assigned to you the previous semester.
