The Center for International Trade and Transportation (CITT), housed at The College of Continuing and Professional Education, is a multidisciplinary center for multifunctional transportation studies and integrated logistics research, education, training,  policy analysis, and community outreach.

CITT Alumni Center

The Alumni Center provides you the opportunity for continued growth and development and allows you to give back and plant the seeds of success for others. Through this online community you can gather with like-minded professionals and keep informed of CITT programs, projects, and activitites.

METRANS Transportation Center

METRANS is a US DOT University Transportation Center awarded to a partnership of the University of Southern California and California State University, Long Beach.

Elizabeth Warren

Elizabeth Warren is the Executive Director of FuturePorts, a membership-based advocacy group that represents business interests at the San Pedro Bay Ports in Southern California. FuturePorts advocates for balance between economic growth and environmental stewardship on behalf of its members.
 
Elizabeth is the creator and designer of FuturePorts’ Supply Chain Game™.  The game is an interactive, educational tool that teaches about the types of jobs created by goods movement.  Both the Port of Long Beach and the Port of Los Angeles incorporate the Supply Chain Game™ into their respective educational and community outreach programs.  The game has been used at the Port of Long Beach’s Green Port Fest as well as at conferences and other events.

2009 LATC Scholarships

Congratulation to GLS students Hector Calderon, Heidi Kim, Jannine Mongeon and Noemi Zepeda.  Each will be awarded $3500 from the Los Angeles Transportation Club (LATC) Scholarship program. LATC formally recognized their awards on Tuesday, October 13th, 2009 at LATC’s Meeting and General Election.  Photos will be made available for viewing shortly at http://www.latc.la/eventalbums.asp.
 
CITT would like to thank the Los Angeles Transportation Club for their generosity and continued support of students in the Global Logistics Specialist (GLS) Professional Designation Program.  

Workforce Development and the Role of the Universities: A National Summit Sponsorship Information


CITT/METRANS at California State University, Long Beach and the Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI) at San Jose State University will be hosting a regional workforce development summit at the Long Beach Hilton.

Scholarships Announced by the HTC and PMA/CII for GLS Students

CITT would like to congratulate our Fall 2009 Harbor Transportation Club Scholarship Recipients David Rodas and Nathan Woodside.  HTC will formally recognize their award on Thursday, November 12th at The Reef Restaurant in Long Beach. 
 
We’d also like to congratulate Daniel Treichler for his scholarship award from the Pacific Maritime Association/Containerization & Intermodal Institute (CII).   He received his scholarship on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Containerization & Intermodal Institute’s (CII) Connie Awards dinner held at the Renaissance Hotel in Long Beach.
