The Advanced Media Production Center

The Advanced Media Production Center is a full service, award winning video and digital media production facility. The center provides the campus, community, and businesses with a wide variety of professional, award winning media production services in support of educational and promotional needs.

Services include consultation, planning, design, development and implementation of media projects in video production, web service and support, computer graphics, and animation. The AMP Center also operates and programs Beach TV, the university's cable television channel.

Panama Canal Documentary Wins Hometown Media Award

The "Panama Canal Expansion: The Battle for Jobs and Cargo" documentary won the Alliance for Community Media’s (ACM) 2012 Hometown Media Award for best production in the “Documentary Event” category. This contest covered all fifty states and is very prestigious. Previously, the documentary had won the Western Region of ACM in the WAVE AWARDS (Western Access Video Excellence Awards).  The WAVE contest involved the six state region of California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado and Hawaii.  Congratulations to Dave Kelly and the Advanced Media Production team!

Advanced Media Production at California State University has produced a one-hour documentary on Long Beach's rich history in regard to World War II. The documentary follows the historical trends that resulted in Long Beach becoming one of the country’s top wartime cities for industrial development, jobs, and economic activity. This documentary has appeared on PBS stations.
