Congratulations on your admission to CSULB and welcome to The Beach! To start your enrollment process, please follow the Must-Do Checklist below:
MUST-DO CHECKLIST FOR SPRING 2016 ENROLLMENT
Admitted International Students
1. Submit Financial Affidavit to International Admissions
Complete, sign, and submit the Financial Affidavit Form
with official bank statements or official letter and a copy of passport (photo page only).
2. Purchase Your Health Insurance
All international students are required
to purchase CSULB's approved health insurance coverage through Wells Fargo, before registering for courses. Visit www.csuhealthlink.com
3. Request Release of your SEVIS Record(Only for students who are transferring from a U.S. school/institution)
- Click 'Find Your School's Plan'
- Select CSU Long Beach
- Select the option International. Then select 'Enroll in Coverage'
- You must pay with a credit card
Contact the international office at your previous school to request the release of your SEVIS record to CSULB (Code: LOS214F00361000). Do this before
your Check-In Session.
4. Attend a CIE Check-In Session
All international students are required by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to check in with their universities upon arrival. You must attend a check-in session at the earliest possible date. For detailed information and to sign up, visit: www.ccpe.csulb.edu/international/about.aspx?pID=103
5. Attend Orientation for Newly Admitted International Students
All Newly Admitted International Students are required to attend the International Student Orientation.

6. Submit Final Admissions Documents
Submit your final academic admissions documents on your To-Do List in your MyCSULB account
to International Admissions by:

Additional Requirements per Academic Standing:
Freshman and Transfer Student
1. Confirm Your Intent to Enroll
Go to MyCSULB
and click on “Activate your Account” in the upper left hand corner. Follow the instructions to activate your account. To accept your offer of admission, click on the Student Center tab on the left. Scroll down to the Admission tab, click on the Accept/Decline link to accept the offer, and pay the enrollment deposit ($150) to secure your spot. This fee will be applied to your tuition once you begin attending.
2. Sign Up for SOAR
SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration) is required of all newly admitted undergraduate students at CSULB. Sign in to you MyCSULB account and click on the SOAR link. SOAR registration begins November 10 at 10AM (Pacific Standard Time). Please register for the earliest possible date.

For Freshmen Students ONLY:
1. Apply for Mandatory On-Campus Housing
All freshmen are required to live in university housing for their first year at CSULB. Apply at www.csulb.edu/housing
2. Take the Required Placement Test(s)(Only applies to students who graduated from a High School in the United States)
You must take the EPT/ELM (English Placement Test/Entry Level Math) by December 12. For test dates and to sign up for the tests, go to https://ept-elm.ets.org/CSU/
. Deadline to register for a Placement Test at CSU Long Beach campus is November 25, 2015.
Post–Baccalaureate StudentGraduate Student, Second Bachelor’s, Credential, EdD, and Certificate
1. Follow the Instructions from Your Program Advisor
The advisor in your major department will assist you with course planning, academic advising, and other information regarding your academic program. A list of the Program Advisors is provided on the Graduate Studies website:http://web.csulb.edu/divisions/aa/grad/
2. Register for Classes
International students are required to register for classes online through MyCSULB
International students require a minimum number of units to maintain student status.
