What's New

Family Care Giver Training and Support Seminar

This training provides the knowledge needed for those who are responsible for taking care of their elderly relatives, whether they live with the family member or on their own. The training includes information on how to access social services and get the needed assistance to provide the best care for the elderly. You will also learn about the process of aging and about how to make important decisions regarding health, well-being, and the quality of life for all involved. At the end of the training, you will be able to develop a support network of professionals and others to provide the best care for an elderly individual.

Mission to the Moon Team Building Course

Replace routine conference room training with an unforgettable team-building experience with the Mission to the Moon Team Building course at the Columbia Memorial Space Center in Downey, CA! You and your staff will participate in a simulated space mission that depends on critical thinking, problem solving, effective commnication, decision making, and other important skills that also apply to the workplace. Single Subject Credentials in Math and Science

In an effort to support recently laid-off LBUSD teachers, CSULB is now offering single subject credentials in foundational level mathematics or general science. All course fees and CSET test fees will be covered with the help of grants to CSULB and LBUSD and support from the Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network. The first cohort of 30 math students and 30 science students started October 17th, and the next cohort will begin in Fall 2012.
