The College of Continuing and Professional Education

The College of Continuing and Professional Education (CCPE) is one of the eight academic colleges at California State University, Long Beach. It is a self-support, interdisciplinary college that works closely with its university, business, community, and international partners to serve California’s workforce and economy. CCPE provides expanded access to CSULB’s exceptional academic programs and educational resources. We offer a diverse range of degrees, professional development certificates, and international education programs in many disciplines. We create opportunities for our students to study abroad, and bring students from around the globe to CSULB.

General Information

Parking Information

For building and lot locations see the campus map.

Parking and Transportation Services is located on Merriam Way adjacent to the parking structure. The office is open Monday-Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.

The Visitor Information Center is located on Beach Drive near the Bellflower Boulevard entrance to the campus. Visitors are encouraged to stop by the Visitor Information Center for detailed information on guest parking, parking meter locations, daily permit machines, and campus maps. Information hours are from 7 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday, and 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday. Call (562) 985-8442 for more information.

Parking Permits

Parking permits are required on campus at all times, unless otherwise noted on signs at the entrances to parking lots and the campus. Parking meters and time limited areas may be enforced at all times.

Nontransferable student permits are sold at the Cashier’s Office (Brotman Hall, room 148). A semester permit costs $123. For more information, please contact Parking and Transportation Services at (562) 985-4146.

Daily permits can be purchased from yellow vending machines located in lots throughout campus. The cost is $5 per day. These lots are 1, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, and parking structure. Employee Lot 6 is available with a valid CSULB general parking permit from 6:00 pm Monday – Friday and all day on the weekends. General parking permits are valid in most employee lots beginning at 6 pm during week days and all day on the weekends. Please pay close attention to all signs posted when entering a parking lot.

You can also purchase a day permit for the Foundation Building at the parking booth for $5. CSULB permits cannot be used in the Foundation lot.

Parking availability is subject to change and lots may be closed for special events.

Campus Connection Shuttle/Carpool

During the Fall and Spring semesters the Campus Connection Service provides free transportation on weekdays to local residential areas, student parking lots, and other parts of campus. Carpool permits are also available to students interested in carpooling. For more information please stop by the Parking and Transportation Services office on Merriam Way.

Traffic Regulations

The basic campus speed limit is 25 mph in posted areas. In all parking lots, the speed limit is 15 mph. All provisions of the California Vehicle Code are strictly enforced.

Park on campus at your own risk. CSULB and the State of California assume no liability for damages to persons or property by reason of the exercise of parking privileges. Each person shall protect and hold harmless the state and the university, its officers and employees, from all claims for injuries to persons or damage to property by reason of the exercise of parking rights on the grounds of California State University, Long Beach.
