Housing

ALI students have three different options for housing: on-campus and off-campus residence halls, homestay, and apartments. The ALI can help students with some of these arrangements before arrival. The ALI can also help find temporary housing for students when they first arrive.

After a student arrives, the ALI staff offers a housing workshop at orientation for those students who have chosen to live either in a homestay or a residence hall. There is a separate orientation for those interested in apartment living. Also, the CSULB Housing Office and the Center for International Education have bulletin boards advertising roommates wanted and rooms in homes that are available.

Carefully read the information about each type of housing before deciding which one will be best for you. Think about your lifestyle and transportation needs to help you choose the most suitable living accommodation.
