- $100 application fee (non-refundable)
Non-refundable. Send a personal check drawn on a U.S. bank account, a money order, cashier's check. or bank check from either a U.S. or non-U.S. bank account. Make checks to 'CSULB.' Visa and MasterCard also accepted (include 3-digit security code with credit card information).
- Tuition Payment
Tuition fee payment is due at the time of application submission.
- Bank statement
To obtain an I-20 for an F-1 student visa, enclose a bank statement with a minimum balance of $8,950 U.S. dollars or equivalent convertible currency. Acceptable documents include your or your sponsor's bank account in the U.S. or your own country. Currency need not be stated in U.S. dollars.
- Passport Information
Please copy the pages in your passport on which your name and date of birth appear.
- Transfer students - Please have your current school complete the transfer verification form.
Filing Dates
If you are applying from outside the United States and wish to obtain an F-1 student visa, your application should arrive at the ALI at least 45 days prior to orientation. In-country applicants may submit their applications with appropriate transfer documents up to one week prior to orientation.
Express Mail
If you want your I-20 sent by express mail (2-3 day delivery), please include an additional $35 express mail fee in your check, money order or credit card approval.
Tuition Payment
ALI tuition is required at the time of application submission. Tuition is non-refundable.
